Welcome to Northampton Neptunes Basketball Club!

We launched the all-new Northampton Neptunes Basketball Club in 2024, 15 years since the Club had last competed – then as a Men’s Division 1 NBL team.

The new Club reflects the continued growth in the popularity of basketball both locally and nationally and offered local children the opportunity to participate in it.

Initially, we had a U14 Boys team who competed in the regional YBL, and a U16 Girls team who headed to Europe to complete in the EYBL. The girls had competed together in winning teams in the National Conference League in the 2023/2024 season and the GloBasket Tournament in Spain before joining the Neptunes. Our first year was exciting and challenging. The boys competing in the UK whilst the girls played in Europe, travelling to Hungary and Slovakia to compete against academy and national teams. We were also delighted to take both teams to the GloBasket Tournament in Spain in 2025.

Now about to start our third season, we have two teams ready for action on the court and hungry for success; a U16 Boys and a U18 Girls team both of which will compete in National Conference League.

The Club is managed by a group of committed and enthusiastic parents and volunteers for non-profit. We rely on their great support, and we are continuing to build relationships with sponsors whose partnership with us is both vital and much appreciated.

We are lucky to have secured great coaches for our teams. This year Whitney Bain joins our coaching team and will be supported by Mark Spatcher, Director of Coaching. Both Mark and Whitney bring a wealth of basketball knowledge and coaching experience to the Club as well as their love of the sport. They have both played basketball themselves and as coaches, now inspire and encourage our players.
